Action: Empathy and Inclusion
In the schoolyard on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the empathy and inclusion action titled: "Traveling with a Stranger" was implemented in the C2 and C3 classes during the Modern Greek Language lesson. This specific experiential workshop aimed to identify individual, unconscious (national, gender, religious, social, etc.) prejudices and stereotypical ideas that, under certain circumstances and without us realizing it, influence our choices and behavior, potentially impacting the lives of others. The students realized that we are all potentially, unknowingly, carriers of racist attitudes. We explored the reasons for acquiring them and discussed ways to deconstruct them, with the obvious ultimate goal of accepting the different other and our cooperation in the inclusion process within the community.
