User Experience Design in the Classroom

To have a positive user experience, the open or mobile application/website must meet the user's needs, be enjoyable to use, and integrate multiple departments of the creation process (e.g., engineering, marketing, design, graphics, interface) (Norman & Nielsen, 2024). It should be noted that while the user interface (UI) is important, it is just one aspect of the overall user experience (UX). For example, a website may look good and operate well, but if it is not functional and does not meet the user's needs, the UX is diminished.
Throughout this website, you will explore research on UX within an educational context and how it has evolved over time. Additionally, this website discusses various websites and applications that educators and students can use in the classroom. Hopefully, this website will help you appreciate the importance of technological mobile user experience in the classroom and how it can be effectively utilized.
Please take advantage of the interactive elements implemented throughout the website. By adding your thoughts and interests, you will help others grow in their understanding of user experience in various areas.
How to Navigate
Click the three lines at the left-hand corner of your mobile device and select the tab you want to visit next. If you are joining from a laptop/desktop, you can click the tab titles at the top of your screen. Alternatively, you can navigate through the website as intended by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the "NEXT" button.
