Shapes 3D is an AR program that allows the user to import various geometrical shapes into the real-world. From creating giant cubes in the middle of a field to far more complex shapes, there are an endless array of options for developing spatial awareness, fostering creative thinking, and building on developing mathematical concepts. With the base application being free, and additional content costing under $10, Shapes 3D is an affordable way to make your classroom and school community more engaging.

The measurements provided on the geometric shapes are very accurate and can be used to develop a better understanding of the scale of certain objects
Students can be creative and build various objects using basic geometric shapes
Students can design additions or improvements to the space around them such as their classroom or schoolyard
Learning can be extended to provide opportunities for students to learn about how designers plan, design, and create various objects
Concepts such as perimeter, area, and volume can be taught in a way that allows students to see their “real-world” applications
