In order to explore the implications of resolution when mapping, we gathered a 0.5 meter resolution LiDAR Digital Elevation Model to compare with a 30 m DEM. We can see from this map that the more jagged 0.5 m DEM contour lines show greater detail than the smoother 30 m DEM contour lines. Therefore, we see that a smaller, more precise resolution DEM will show greater detail than a larger resolution.
