In order to exercise our abilities in spatial statistics, we used data sourced from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) to create a map showing densities of recorded Bigfoot sightings. We used the Average Nearest Neighbor tool to show that there were clusters of data rather than evenly or randomly dispersed data throughout North America. We then used the Kernel Density tool to find areas in which the recorded clusters of data reside. Lastly, we used the Hot Spot Analysis tool to see where the areas of highly reliable sightings existed. The map below shows the density of Bigfoot sightings throughout North America.Â
