Sorting System
This piece is the sorter in which coins are sent down parallels to the holes and depending on size will fall into the corresponding holes starting from smallest to largest Tape was used to ensure coins slide easily and don't get caught
Collection System
The Collection system is located just behind the Sorting System. Each coin has a small rectangular area separated by protruding pieces of cardboard to create a border between each ramp that leads to each box. A ramp then extended s from the slots to the boxes and tape is used so ensure the coins slide easily down into the box and don't get caught along the way
Hopper System
The hopper system uses a very slight angle to ensure the coins slowly travel down in a organized manner. A slit is sued to create a path to the sorting system and a piece extended over the slot to make sure only 1 coin emerges from the slot at a time. Then the coins fall into a angled slot in which they are forced sideways to run parallels with the sorting system as the coins would simply fall flat if not put upright in some manner
Attempt #1: failed
Error occurred in the chute as the angle is not inline with the sorting system forcing the coins straight into the wrong slot and forcing errors within the system
Attempet #2:failed
Same issues occurred as chute angle was pushing on side to sharp forcing a error in which coins a flung into the wrong slots and not riding on the side slots as intended by the design
Attempt #3: Poor Results
Changed chute systems angle but error still occurred as the coins would no staying flush and angle was still off resulting in false sorting and coins falling over
Attempt #4:Better Results
Angle of chute was changed so coins were forced more parallel along with changing the angle of the chute to the sorting ramp which created better results towards coins falling and rather stayed straight up riding on the side as intended
