The partnership enhanced participants’ awareness on different healthy lifestyles across Europe, from 3 schools over a period of 2 years. We followed the objectives to achieve the main project aim:
-to empower participants’ skills and knowledge so as to adopt a balanced healthy lifestyle
-to foster quality and multidimensional improvements in participants’ lifestyle
-to create the space for participants to learn in a multicultural environment
-to exchange good practices at international level.
- to develop intercultural awareness and sense of identity
The objectives were in line with selected priorities and reflected the topics of the LTTAs: Happier Lifestyle tips, Healthy eating habits, Healthy body&mind harmony, Nature based learning. We wanted to make students turn to genuine natural landscapes as people are more and more disconnected from the earth and beauty of the natural world.
Students had the opportunity to understand the people-nature connection, explore the surrounding nature, explore and conclude on the impact of human activities upon environment, the way nature affects our health.
We seeked to provide a meaningful way to communicate health-related information to participants, strengthen human relationships and to establish effective teambuilding spirit, friendly competitions that tackle project topic from various angles, supported through team cohesion and proactive lifestyle.
The management framework produced tangible and intangible results. Project concrete results include materials like: project logo, website, eTwinning space, posters, booklet, brochure, themed videos and presentations, exhibitions, seminar, quiz, outdoor games, sport competition, assessment and feedback forms, evaluation tools, dissemination materials, evaluation reports, leaflets.
Expected intangible results include: knowledge, attitudes, experiences, soft and hard skills. Students were direct beneficiaries of the practical activities, shared and confronted ideas to create the high quality project results. The project used non-formal learning methods, meant to mitigate the cooperation process amongst students who come into contact with different lifestyles. The non-formal education tools employed were group work, discussions, role plays, team-building, forum theatre, group drawings etc. The project fostered fundamental values at European level, communication, digital skills, team work, critical thinking, creativity and wellbeing. LTTAs comprised cultural activities to promote diversity and cultural expression, workshops were chaired by external specialists, speakers. The cross-curricular format of activities developed students’ knowledge, learning process were more engaging, purposeful and challenging. Participants made interdisciplinary connections, resort to knowledge in various subjects (Languages, Literature, Geography,Biology, PE, ICT) and related them to their daily life.

„After participating in the Erasmus project in Croatia, I came back feeling incredibly inspired and enriched by the experience. The warmth and care I received from the Croatian people made the stay exceptionally pleasing. Experiencing the local culture, especially the emphasis on healthy cuisine opened my eyes to the importance of diet in overall being. The landscapes and historical sites added a deeper depth to the journey, making every lesson easier to memorize. Collaborating with students and educators from different countries worked out a sense of community that I hadn't anticipated. Overall, the project not only enlarged my horizons but also left me with a deep appreciation for Croatia.“

„Erasmus+ is a great opportunity to get to know new cultures, customs and traditions, but also a great way to improve your communication skills in English. This school yesr, our school hosted the Erasmus+ project: Cook it yourself and keep away from fast food. A total of eleven students and four teachers from Poland and Turkey visited us. The main topic of this project was a problem that is often present in teenagers, but also in all other people: the problem with fast food. Today, we all eat fast food and rarely cook anything ourselves. This project contained many interactive workshops and activities that introduced us in to the problem and its consequences, but also to the ways we can use to avoid this this problem.
Our guests were staying with our students, in our homes. My guest came from Poland.
Although the guests arrived on Sunday, the project did not start until the next day. At the welcome ceremony, we sang them some traditional songs. We danced 'Vinjansko/Imotsko kolo' and sang 'ganga'. In this way, the guests got to know part of our tradition. Then, we all participated in some games. On that day, students toured our school and were supposed to walk to 'Badnjevice'. But, unfortunately, the rain stopped us that day.
The next day, Tuesday, began with presentations that introduced us with medicinal plants. All students presented their traditional food. The guest students gave an interview for the school radio. That day we visited Makarska. It was raining, but that didn't stop us.
On the third day, we had an interesting workshop with teacher Nikolina Garac. We made healthy banana waffles and milkshakes. Guests from Poland and Turkey visited 'Samčović' bakery.
On Thursday, after several days of rain, the sun finally came out. We took advantage of that and we all danced 'Jerusalema' dance together on the playground in front of the school. We all presented a few simple recipes, and then we had karaoke in the Crystal Hall. Karaoke were a bit of a challenge for me because I had to sing in Polish. However, I learned the song quickly and it was not as difficult as I thought. On Thursday afternoon we visited Split.
Friday was the last day of our mobility. On Friday, we all had to make food pyramids. Pyramids were supposed to be an interactive game. Each team designed their own pyramid and later we presented them. We visited the local farm and the town of Imotski.
On Saturday, our guests returned to their homes.
I am happy because I decided to participate in this project. This is another experience I will never forget. I think that I have improved my knowledge of the English language and gained new knowledge about other cultures. Now I'm going to high school and I hope to participate again in Erasmus+ or some similar project.“

„Personally I think that Erasmus Project was an amazing opportunity to learn how to cooperate and communicate with people from other countries. We could improve our language skills, make some new friends and at least for a while be a part of a different community..I feel I became more open and tolerant thanks to this trip.
Hania, Cracow
I think that Erasmus Project gave me so much. First of all, I think that my English improved and I met new people. When I went to Croatia I didn’t know much about the country.
Now I know more, and I saw how beautiful this country is..I also learned more about healthy food and healthy habits. Summing it up, it was worth taking part in the Project and I can reccommend it to other students.

„The week in Turkey was an adventure that I will never forget. I learned about new things. I met people who are really nice and funny. It was interesting to get to know customs, religion and culture that are not like ours. One day I would like to come back again.“

„Turkey is an interesting and very beautiful country with many surprises. My trip to Turkey was unforgettable, I traveled with 7 very nice people. And the family I was staying with was great. Every day we had new activities and new challenges. Monday was an interesting day, we learned a lot but also got to know a new country, continent, and living in Turkey. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were also a lot of fun. We learned a lot about the city of Bodrum. A little paradise. A city full of surprises. Exploring Bodrum and enjoying the whole day on the boat was like a fairy tale. I learned a lot in this trip. And especially that you should enjoy life and take advantage of every opportunity that is given to you and understand that there is only one life. I would like to thank the family I was in, they accepted me nicely and gave me a lot in just 6 days. Erasmus is the best thing I have achieved in 8 years of education and I wish you all to succeed in whatever you want!“

"My name is Luka Bošnjak and I will tell you about my experience in the Erasmus+ project in Turkey.
The theme of the project is "Cook it yourself and keep away from fast food".
I really liked this project. I am glad that I had the opportunity to participate in this project and get to know different parts of the world. I learned a lot about the people in Turkey and their culture and customs. The people there are very kind and friendly. The city we visited is called Bodrum. It is a city with rich history; we visited the castle, the museum inside the castle and the remains of the Mausoleum (an ancient tomb known as one of the 7 wonders of the world). We also visited the old windmills and the Market.
My host's name was Emir, he showed me the city of Bodrum and took me for walks and swimming. His parents are very kind and gave me a gift as a souvenir of Turkey. Every morning before school we ate breakfast on the floor because it is an old Turkish custom. We went to school at 9:00 a.m. ( Turkey is an hour ahead from Croatia). Their schools have a different system than in Croatia. Their school starts at 9:00 a.m., one school hour lasts 30 minutes, small breaks last 15 minutes, and their school ends around 3:00 p.m. At school, we had workshops related to healthy food and lifestyle. I tried various Turkish food, such as kebab, ravioli, etc. The food in Turkey is very spicy. We visited a detox center where we tried various dishes and drank smoothies.
My favorite was the boat trip. We drove along the Aegean Sea and swam. We also had lunch on board.
The Polish students were with us in the project.
We were in Turkey for a week and traveled by plane. We returned home happy, full of impressions".
