Strategies to Create a Healthy and Supportive School Environment
Students can strengthen their emotional well-being by
· Developing the skills to recognize and manage emotions
· Learning to set and achieve positive goals
· Learning to appreciate the perspectives of others
· Establishing and maintaining positive relationships
· Making responsible decisions.
School policies and practices that support development of skills to improve emotional well-being can help meet students’ psychosocial needs.4,5 Creating healthy and supportive school environments strengthen students’ emotional well-being.
What is the WSCC model?
The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child, or WSCC model, is CDC’s framework for addressing health in schools. The WSCC model is student-centered and emphasizes the role of the community in supporting the school, the connections between health and academic achievement and the importance of evidence-based school policies and practices. The WSCC model has 10 components:
1. Physical education and physical activity.
2. Nutrition environment and services.
3. Health education.
4. Social and emotional climate.
5. Physical environment.
6. Health services.
7. Counseling,Psychological,and social services
8. Community involment
9. Family Engagement

DAY 1
-online presentation session: "This is my school", "Educational systems across Europe"
- selecting the project logo prepared by Polish partner
DAY 2
- project methodology overall implementation procedures
- distribution of tasks and responsibilities among partners
- means and frequency of effective communication throughout project life span
- launch of the project eTwinning page
- establishing the working agenda
- interpreting the initial questionnaires results
DAY 3
- local good practice examples: fostering inclusion
- decide on the project calendar for the first year
- consult the dates when LTTAs take place with the partners
- compare and analyse the results of the initial questionnaire applied in schools
- poster presentation to advertise the project designed
- discussing details for LTTA2
- evaluation of the meeting
The planned project activities were implemented according to the plan of the first activity.
On the first day each country showed the presentations about "This is my school", "Educational systems across Europe" ( very clear showing educational systems of countries).

On the second day were presented the results of a questionnaire for students on what they expect from this project and what they would like to learn new. An interesting website was also presented, which showed a broader view of the topic of healthy eating.
We thought about how do we try to implement healthy
strategies at our school?
On the third day the school partners presented very interesting posters of students, advertising the project theme.
At the end of the activity the coordinators of the project in Turkey, Croatia and Poland emphasized that the online meeting inspired them to start or continue various activities together with students to show them what a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating is.
And at the end we evaluated the meeting together....
