The Average to Low Budget School Districts

Huntington High School like Walt Whitman High School are both schools that have Social status divide within their population in school district. The poor and the well to do both come together but yet the school district faces hardships with education budget because the minority population is growing rapidly and wealthier families opt to send their kids to private schools.

Wyandanch school district faces hard times when their budget is so limited that there need to be layoffs of staff and administrators. An opportunity for Wyandanch school district could come if their finances are better administered and more investment in the community could be applied, the school district is predominantly minority.

In the lower income communities there is the real struggle of working families to try and put food on the table for their families meanwhile trying to give their kids a better opportunity and the best education that they can get. Often the burden lies heavy on the lower budget school districts when the classroom students to teacher ratio is exceedingly overwhelming and this means that less attention to individuals pace of learning is given. This is not because the educators don't want to help their students but rather because there is not enough of them to go around.
