History

We tackled topics in history such as racism in the Jim Crow Era, shined a light on lesser-known characters in the Revolutionary War, and brought to life the 1800's in an AR Scavenger Hunt. These projects were produced for The Jim Crow Museum, The Grand Rapids Museum and the Grand Rapids Public Museum School.

Achieving Despite Resistance

The project is in collaboration with the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia at Ferris State University. We created motion-comic-style animations of black people, from history, that overcame obstacles to achieve success. The animations reside in the Jim Crow Museum's Virtual Tour, and their YouTube playlist in the section called 'Achieving Despite Resistance'. They feature the stories of Rube Foster, Shirley Chisholm, Garrett Morgan, the Harlem Hellfighters, Leontyne Price, and Percival Prattis.
