Church Coordinators
Church Coordinators provide connection between their local congregations and opportunities for mentoring in the BELL Program.
Church Coordinators are accountable to their church pastor or other designated member of their church’s leadership team.
Church Coordinators are trained and supervised by the BELL Program staff.
Church Coordinators are responsible for:
Mentoring one adult in the program
Attending leadership meetings
Communicating the vision, needs, and results of the BELL program to their congregations
Contacting employers who are members of their churches to determine possible English language learning opportunities
Acting as liaison between churches, businesses, and the BELL Program staff
Recruiting, screening, supervising, and encouraging mentors from their churches
Encouraging mentors to extend their connections with mentees beyond the one hour per week of language learning to the sharing of life and witness
