By 11:59 PM on Wednesday, please upload a c.250 word abstract of your curriculum proposal to this linked form. Note that this is not the link for your pptx file, but only for your abstract. The resulting spreadsheet with all abstracts will be shared here with group on Thursday morning to facilitate preparation for discussion later that day and Friday. If this will cause a problem for you, don't hesitate to write Rex.
The abstract and presentation may be speculative--I am thinking of pursuing X, I am interested in using X material, etc.--that in no way must pretend to final status.
By that same time, please use this form to upload your final presentation file (.pptx or .pdf file only, please).
Presentations should be no longer than 7 minutes, and 5-6 minute presentations will allow us more time for discussion.

The Endowment’s Seminars, Institutes, and Workshops are intended to extend and deepen knowledge and understanding of the humanities by focusing on significant topics, texts, and issues; contribute to the intellectual vitality and professional development of participants; and foster a community of inquiry that provides models of excellence in scholarship and teaching.
Our goal is for scholars, educators, students, and the American public to have ready and easy access to the wide range of NEH award products. All other considerations being equal, NEH gives preference to those that provide free access to the public.
Note that this is not a command, but an exhortation.
Innovation in the inclusion of Latinx art into courses on art history, history, social science classes, and others, is a key goal of our Institute. Sharing what and how may be as simple as sending the Institute organizers a brief memo describing in general terms how you will do it. If you feel so inclined, you may want to publish your work and thoughts in venues such as Art History Teaching Resources (AHTR) or the many other appropriate venues.
Beyond Curriculum: many of us need to think of publication as well as curriculum development. Art Journal is one of several journals in art history that regularly publish reviews of curricular movements in the field (and of course art history is not the only field represented in our Institute, but we imagine there are analogs). Journals such as Art History Pedagogy and Practice are both peer-reviewed and open-source, which may please both our annual performance reviewers and the NEH's desire that products be freely available.
All materials publicizing or products resulting from NEH-funded activities must contain an acknowledgment of NEH support. Consult the Acknowledgment and Publicity Requirements for NEH Awards and Publicizing Your Project pages on the NEH website for guidance on acknowledging NEH support and promotion.
Let's decide this together. Given our limited amount of presentation time (300 minutes total, divided among 23 participants), we are dealing with 12 minutes per participant total time.
