How do I register for UH Townhome housing?

Must I stay at the UH Quad Townhouses?
You do not have to stay on campus--but we would ask you to consider that the daily rate is hard to beat in Houston, and that the community of scholars that will coalesce in the townhouses will be of importance to many. See our Housing page for more information.
What about my stipend?
The University of Houston will disburse your stipend in sometime soon after you arrive at the Institute. Housing costs will be deducted from your stipend check (if you stay on campus).
Can I leave my car at home?
If you don't want to drive to Houston, or don't have a car anyway, you will not be stranded. The residence provided (UH Quad Townhouses) is directly on the train line into downtown (15 minute ride, with easy transfer to the Museum; bus service also available nearby).
Are there places to eat near the residence?
Short answer is yes, quite a few. There are over a dozen restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the residences, including many that are closer. You may also self-cater with the expansive kitchen in each residence. See your Cheat Sheet for more information.
How often will we be in the museum?
The first week has us mainly on campus. The majority of our activities during the second week will take place at the museum among the collections.
