Notes:

  • This page coves all the basics of numbers and what you need to know about them. I discuss the different aspects of the numbers such as hand position, palm orientation and how the hand moves for specific numbers.


Class Notes:

  • Things to think about: For this section we look at all of the numbers again be aware that whenever you produce a number it is done in the same space that you finger spell in. The hand should be positioned at shoulder level and remain in place as you produce the numbers.

This video takes a look at the numbers 0-20 and goes over the basics of the numbers. Take note of numbers 1-5 and 11-20 for hand positioning. Make sure the back of the hand faces the person you are signing to.


This video take a look at the numbers 20-30. In this video I discuss how to sign the numbers 20-30 looking at proper hand placement and palm orientation.


This video takes a look at signing the numbers 30-50. In this video I will discuss proper hand position and palm orientation when signing these numbers. I also revisit the differences in palm orientation when signing some of the numbers like 1-5 and 11-15.


This video focuses on signing the numbers 50-70. I discuss proper hand position for the numbers once again. I also talk about how the hand moves a little differently when signing number 67 through 69 so take note as you watch the video.


This video will focus on the production of the numbers 70-99. I will discuss the proper hand positions and palm orientation for the production of these numbers. Once again pay special attention to the numbers 78,79,89 as the hand moves slightly inward with the number production. I also talk a little bit about double numbers and the differences in their production.


This video takes a look at numbers 100-900 and also show some of the variations in the hundreds. I discuss hundred numbers with 5 variations such as 115, 125,135,145,155,165,175,185,195. I Show how to sign number ranging from 111-116 as well. I also show how to sign hundreds with single digits. Enjoy!


This video shows you the basics of signing numbers starting at a thousand and moving up into the 100,000's place. Be careful of hand position and order. When you sing a number like 150,000..you sing it like you say it....one +hundred+fifty+thousand.
