Drawing on the Psychological First Aid guidelines developed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the training developed under the RIPOSTE programme adapts the core principles of the initiative to epidemic situations. It also includes a specific module on epidemics and psycho-social aspects, so that volunteers can carry out their mission with an awareness of the various issues at stake. The full training lasts 17 hours.
The kit includes materials for two training sessions:
2.5 days for volunteers (patient, family and community support)
1 day for managers for team support

Final external evaluation of the “MHPSS” project, supported by the French Red Cross in Romania
This report presents the Final External Evaluation of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Project implemented by the French Red Cross (FRC) in collaboration with the Romanian Red Cross (RRC). Launched in response to the Ukraine crisis, the project aimed to provide essential MHPSS services to Ukrainian refugees and vulnerable host communities in Romania.
The evaluation, conducted by Scruples Research, assessed the project's relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, impact, and sustainability, using internationally recognized humanitarian standards and evaluation criteria. A combination of surveys, interviews, focus groups, and site visits provided insights into how well the project met its goals and the needs of its beneficiaries.
