Environmental assessment (NEAT)

The Nexus Environmental Assessment Tool (NEAT+) is designed to assist humanitarian actors (who are not environment experts) in quickly identifying environmental issues prior to planning interventions.

NEAT+ (Nexus Environmental Assessment Tool) provides insight into the environmental vulnerabilities linked to specific activities, highlighting risks to both the environment and affected communities. It also suggests mitigation measures to address these potential risks, producing a list of ideas that can be incorporated into project design or proposals.

NEAT+ is intended for use before project design and implementation.
