Dear Prospective Simulation Fellowship Applicant,
Hello and welcome! We are delighted you have found our fellowship homepage and welcome your interest in our program. We look forward to learning more about you and your interest in medical simulation. We hope the information below will shed light on the application process and answer any questions you may have.
Applying to the Emergency Medicine Service Line (EMSL) Healthcare Simulation Fellowship at Northwell Health is a multiple-step process, involving direct contact with both the Simulation Faculty and the Department Chairs of clinical sites.
For the 2026-2027 Academic Year, applications for admission to the EMSL Healthcare Simulation Fellowship at Northwell Health will be accepted from June 1st to September 30th. Invitations for interviews are typically extended and scheduled to applicants between September 1st and October 1st.
For AY' 2026-2027 we are pleased to offer Simulation Fellow positions at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (1) and Lenox Hill Hospital (1).
We anticipate additional positions will also become available - stay tuned!
Applicants with completed applications that are submitted before the deadline will receive a 'Welcome E-mail' from Simulation Faculty Program Directors outlining next steps.
Invited applicants will receive invitations to interview from both the Simulation Faculty and the Emergency Department Chairs of the Clinical Sites selected by the applicant.
Typically, we are able to accept 1-4 Simulation Fellows per year. However, this number can change year-to-year, based on clinical site availability. Historically, fellows have secured clinical sites at our main academic hubs or one of Northwell Health's many community hospitals. Clinical opportunities each year depend on site availability.
Offers for positions are generally extended after October 15th and on a rolling basis thereafter.
Interested applications should e-mail the following to Dr. Tiffany Moadel (Program Director) and Dr. Michael Sperandeo (Associate Program Director) at: tmoadel@northwell.edu & msperande1@northwell.edu
