Simulation fellows attend weekly Simulation Conference hosted and facilitated by faculty. Topics presented include educational learning theory, debriefing strategies, case writing, simulation journal club, ongoing research, faculty development, simulation administration, guided mentorship, department initiatives and much more!
Simulation fellows participate in EM Resident Simulation, occurring every Wednesday. Fellows will have the opportunity to create, debrief and guide resident learners through clinical case scenarios and procedural task training.
Our fellows design, develop and implement a project of their choosing with the goal of presenting their work nationally by the end of the academic year. Our fellows have received grants and have disseminated their work in peer-reviewed publications.
Annually, our fellows travel to the Center for Medical Simulation to attend the week-long simulation instructor course, Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design and Debriefing, led by some of the worlds leading experts in simulation healthcare simulation debriefing. Simulation Instructor
