The South Central Workforce Development Board oversees workforce initiatives in the 10-county region of south central Kentucky which fundamentally includes developing and supporting a workforce system that provides career and training services to eligible adults, dislocated workers and youth in the 10-county region of south central Kentucky. In addition, the Board is committed to driving innovative workforce solutions in collaboration with public, private and nonprofit partners to ensure jobseekers have career opportunities and that employers have the talent they need.

New American Workforce Services
The New American Workforce Navigator connects New Americans to job and career opportunities. Services include creating or updating a resume, connecting to local resources such as education and training programs, and exploring and connecting to local job opportunities. The Navigator often meets with businesses to educate and advocate for New American hiring and retention practices and assists employers with integrating New Americans into their workforce.

Youth Workforce Services (Ready. Set. Hire.)
A youth employment initiative led by the South Central Workforce Development Board (SCWDB), Ready. Set. Hire. is designed to simplify the job search and connect young people with real opportunities—including career coaching, work support, and a cash bonus for staying committed. It is for Youth ages 16–24 in all 10 counties of South Central Kentucky—including high school grads, co-op students, and anyone ready to start working. It gives young people a real-world headstart by preparing them for finding and securing employment, helping them build work ethic, gain income, and develop the confidence and habits needed for long-term career success.

Justice-Involved / Reentry Workforce Services
Targeted Orientation Classes occur once monthly at the local adult education center where participants have access to Department for Workforce Development offices in one location. During these sessions, participants are connected with the most appropriate partner to meet their employment, training and/or educational needs. Veterans Workforce Services
YourTern (internships customized for Ft. Campbell soldiers)
MyWorkforce Future LLC oversees this Army Career Skills Program at Fort Campbell. Geared towards active-duty Service Members within 180 days of their Estimated Time of Separation (ETS), this program aims to empower and prepare them for a successful post-service career transition. The YourTern internship program will give South Central KY employers an opportunity to host interns at little-to-no cost. During recruitment, employers actively participate in the interview and selection process, tailoring internship dates to accommodate both the employer and the Service Member.
