Positive Attitude

Establish a positive and productive learning environment which includes standards/expectations which explicitly parallel industry standards, and position learners with professionalism and integrity

Create regular feedback opportunities using feedback processes which affirm aspects of both attitude and of progress, and provide ‘next steps’ to encourage and extend

Establish a system which celebrates learner progress (and clarifies gaps), and design and implement activities which encourage learners to develop strength-based narratives

Model diverse elements of ‘positive attitude’ - respectful communication, timeliness, professionalism, personal presentation, honesty, organisation, self-confidence, willingness to try new things

Affirm positive attitude/effort in learners; encourage learners to take control of their own learning

Facilitate a safe learning environment for learners to try out new things, “give it a go” and have high expectations of learners.
