My name is Emma and I'm a junior attending The Colorado School of Mines. I am studying biochemical engineering with two minors: a minor in McBride Honors Program of Public Affairs and a minor in Teaching.
I have been drawing since I was 10 years old and have a passion for learning about art and artists. My favorite artist is Gustav Klimpt.
Although I'm going to school to become an engineer and researcher, I believe it is very important to be a well-rounded individual. The McBride program challenges me in my writing, critical thinking, and creative abilities--all of which have helped me with writing research papers, come up with different approaches in lab, and solve complex and seemingly unsolveable problems.
Aside from helping me with my degree, I find freedom in expressing myself artistically. I care deeply about subject and message when I create different drawings and am thankful I can have a platform to express myself.
