That's BBQ and Watson.

Building relationships with colleagues is one of my greatest strengths, and one that's really important to me. I love animals, reading, watching sports, and finding new shows to watch at the gym. I love all kinds of music, including Broadway soundtracks, and really sweet, southern-style iced tea. And I think the coherence of the math story is beauty to behold.

"Teachers and school faculty love working with Emilee because of her genuine, welcoming, warm, positive nature. To observe her teach and interact with students is truly something to behold. She is one of the most outstanding teachers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Emilee effortlessly develops such a positive rapport with both students and parents alike." -Kristen Rigazio, Physical Education Department Chair, HVA HS

"People love Emilee because she’s so knowledgable, she’s so passionate, she words so hard, she’s so experienced, she did the work for so long. And also she’s so intentional about building relationships." - Matthew Leftwich, Secondary Regional Math Leader, KIPP Atlanta

"I particularly remember the way that Emilee developed her students’ capacities to work together as teams. Frankly, I’ve never seen students work as well together. I vividly remember walking in to Emilee’s classroom, sitting down with a group of kids, and being consistently struck by how seriously they were taking the work, how well they were working with and off each other, how respectfully they were treating each other— all in an un-self-conscious way that spoke to how deeply Emilee had rooted these behaviors in a rich classroom culture." -Dan Coleman, Ph.D., founder, Big Sky Blue

"I remember when you came into my classroom when I taught first grade and you would always leave me sticky notes with feedback on them and I always really appreciated that and it made me feel really good as a teacher.  You taught me a lot that I am going to be able to take into my new role as the Math and Science Curriculum Specialist." - Alexis Marron, Lead Teacher, KIPP Jacksonville
