Technology- Enhanced Learning Environment

What does technology- enhanced environment mean to you?

• To me, a technology- enhanced environment means that there is an impactful use of technology in the classroom or environment to which students are utilizing the technology for a better learning experience. I feel that the use of technology in a classroom, when used properly, can greatly enhance not just learning experience of the students, but also how well they retain what they are learning. In many ways a technology in a classroom can become the central point to learning the curriculum in a deeper more meaningful matter; Whether is it through a virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR), 3D printing models, use of laptop computers for e-learning or educational collaborative games technology- enhanced environments has positively impacted the classroom.

What did you learn in this course and how do you plan to apply this knowledge or these skills to advocate your future learning or professional activities?

• I learned a lot throughout this course that I will take with me going forward. If I choose to go in the traditional classroom route, I will definitely use google classroom to keep track of my students assignments and get feedback from them through facilitating discussion. Additionally, I will also be using Kahoot and other educational games online to create a more intriguing learning environment. I feel like resources such as AR and VR will be great especially if I work with those with mental and emotional disabilities, these alternative educational methods will be important so that they are in a learning environment where they will remember information better and be as successful as possible .
