- How does gaming enhance learning? Gaming enhances learning through creating an interactive environment that students can learn through. With aspects such as competition and a sense of fun being added to assignments, students will be able to retain information learned through gaming assignments and lessons more thoroughly. Skills such as learning how to follow instructions and how to use computers at greater depth are also taught through the use of computer game based assignments.
- Why or how would you incorporate gaming into teaching? If I were a teacher, I would definitely integrate gaming activities such as Kahoot and games on Education.com into my curriculum. I would use these games not only to enhance the traditional lessons being taught in the classroom, but also to facilitate higher level learning through this more thought provoking competitive environment. Through the student's performance in such activities, teachers will be able to assess how comfortable students are with the material. I feel that if students look at an assignment where they are enjoying the content and want to perform their best, they will put more effort in.
