During this 3-week project, my primary focus was the AI Enemy Worm, which included movement, health and damage, collision and behavior states
The AI is built around an enum state machine that changes depending on how the player interacts with the AI. The AI is designed to act as a blockage for the player, once it is defeated, the player is rewarded with a carrot and can continue exploring. I did not use NavMesh and the majority of the logic is my own. The AI features includes hit stop, state-based animations and damage indicator.
Enemy Manager
As part of the AI, a classic enemy trap room was implemented.
When the player enters the room, all the doors close, time stops, and the player is forced to defeat all remaining enemies. I took the liberty of using events, as this feature only needs to happen once and I had never used events in C# before. It turned out to be a great learning experience.
