School Improvement Day Meeting Notes
Rationale: I associate this artifact with standard 9O where it states, "participates in professional development, professional organizations, and learning communities, and engages in peer coaching and mentoring activities to enhance personal growth and development."
These notes were from the last professional development/ teacher inservice day where I participated in discussions on curriculum mapping and standards that will be used district wide for the 5th grade.

Student Teaching Welcoming Letter
Rationale: I associate this artifact with standard 9L where it states, "communicates with families, responds to concerns, and contributes to enhanced family participation in student education."
I sent this letter home the first week I began my 16 weeks of student teaching because I wanted the families of the students to know who will be around their child during the day.
Within the letter, I added my school/ district email in case parents needed to get ahold of me with any questions or concerns. I also provided my education basckground as well as some ice breakers so the families know a little about me.
