Golf has been a passion of mine ever since my dad introduced me to it. While I was in middle school I picked up my first set of golf clubs and started going with my dad to a local driving range every now and then. It wasn't until my freshman year in highschool when I consistently played golf. I joined the girls varsity team my freshman year and remained on that team throughout all four years of high school. I loved every minute of being on that team because I grew friendship with amazing people, gained skills, and worked hard on getting better at golf.
Hockey has been a part of my life for a long time. Since I'm from Northern Virginia, my favorite team is the Washington Capitals. Growing up, I went to tons of Caps games and witnessed so many historic moments. Most notably, in 2018, when the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup, my family and I celebrated at the Stanley Cup parade in DC!
College truly introduced me to the traditions and spirit that come with football games. I’ve been so lucky to witness many historic JMU football moments during my time here—from College GameDay to our first and second bowl game appearances. As the social media intern for JMU, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to have a front-row view at most home games. It’s definitely been a highlight of my college career!
