The need for experienced employers or workforce with low salaries, caused on the other side a similar increase in need for the type of learning and knowledge that develop skills required for the job market. 

A technician who is having some engineering skills has become more desirable and more likely to win a job offer than a university graduate with an engineering degree, the later acquires a higher salary that - in most cases – his/her employee cannot afford, but the technician will be paid less while having the capacity to carry on over 90%-to-95% of the job tasks that may be assigned to the engineer. 

Academic education is always focusing on the building blocks of professions, a graduate of any discipline is automatically entitled to the profession of the discipline ; like for example: becoming an “Architect”, an “Engineer”, a “Lawyer, or a “Doctor”, but still with “No professional experience” as a fresh graduate. This leads more graduates to get back to the educational cycle again to take some skill development courses in order to find their first entry job opportunity. 

The objective of vocational education is to make students focus on developing skills required for a specific profession in order to join the job market faster than completing a university degree and with less financial obligations
