Steampunk

Students will be able to: Learn about steampunk and apply it to sculpture ⚙️

We started class with a presentation on steampunk. We discussed the history, the inspirations, what it looks like, and how we can make art within the genre. Steampunk combines the old with the new, in a number of ways; it's Industrial, Victorian, and futuristic, but it also often incorporates re-purposed goods. We created sculptures of the first letter of our names using found objects. Once we chose objects that would fit our letters, we attached them onto wood with glue.
