AI Training for Researchers
Automating Academic Workflows: AI Tools for Research and Teaching
The workshop is organized by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Research Staff Association (RSA) for Researchers.
This workshop focuses on automating research and teaching workflows using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and NotebookLM. Participants will learn how to streamline repetitive academic tasks like literature reviews, data analysis, manuscript preparation, lesson planning, and assessment design. The session will combine demonstrations and hands-on exercises to show how AI can enhance productivity and creativity in both research and teaching.
The outcome of this workshop is to enable researchers and educators to integrate AI tools effectively into their daily academic workflows, saving time, improving quality, and facilitating innovative approaches to research and instruction.
The main objectives include:
To understand how AI tools can automate key academic tasks in research and teaching.
To learn practical techniques for using ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and NotebookLM in academic workflows.
To explore responsible and ethical use of AI in generating, organizing, and communicating academic content.
The workshop will take place on the 25th and 26th November, 2025 from 10am to 12pm.
