About Edgewater High School's U.S. Marine Corps JROTC Program
The Marine Corps JROTC program was established in 1980 by Lieutenant Colonel James O. Cranford, a former artillery officer and Vietnam veteran. He served as Edgewater's Senior Marine Instructor for 24 years. This program instills the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment to high school students. MCJROTC prepares high school students to be responsible leaders and develop character while making them aware of the benefits and roles of citizenship. It is NOT a recruiting tool.

Only for Cadets in the ceremony
Saturday November 15th Marine Corps Ball
Who: Mandatory for ALL Cadets
What: 250th Marine Corps Birthday
When: Cadets must be there NLT 1700, ceremony starts promptly at 1800. Cadets participating in the ceremony must be there NLT 1600
Where: Double Tree by Hilton 60 South Ivanhoe Blvd Orlando FL
Uniform: Dress Blue Bravos for cadets in the ceremony / Black Tie Formal for all cadets and guests / Ladies (or Men) must have their dresses approved by SgtMaj before the event
