Most students were in lockdown for 3 months, but for others the period lasted from one month to six months. In general students had to stay in their houses or flats most of the time, but were allowed to go out to buy groceries or do sports individually.
About half of the students say that the information about mindfulness, healthy food and drink as well as sports they gained duing the project helped them during lockdown.
80,5% were physically active; runninrg and cycling being the most popular activities, followed by exercises done with YouTube instructions. 85% think they were able to keep fit.
Only 34% changed their eating habits and tried to eat less sugar and fewer snacks. 82% state that they were able to maintain a healthy diet during lockdown, mostly because they had been eating in a healthy way before, but also because they had more time to prepare healthy meals.
32,7% included mindfulness techniques into their daily routines. Colouring and drawing are the most frequently used techniques here, followed by enjoying their surroundings, for example views from the window.
Lockdown did not change much about students' amount of media use, except that some admitted to longer periods of time on their phones to stay in contact with their friends. In addition, digital learning made them use media like computers and laptops more.
56,9% kept in contact with their Erasmus partners because they had become good friends and it simply was fun.
