Etch-a-Sketch Workshop

11:30 am - 12:30pm | Kids Korner A | Grades K and up

Full-time Etch-a-Sketch artist Jane Labowitch, also known as Princess Etch, will guide you through the basics of creating art on the classic toy. Mini Etch-a-Sketches will be provided.

Online registration, limited to 15, begins September 8. Walk-ins are welcome. We will be distributing 10 "walk in" tickets at the YOUTH SERVICES REFERENCE DESK on a first come, first serve basis 30 minutes before the start of the program. One ticket will be given per person, and all attendees must be present to receive a ticket.

Be sure to visit Jane in Artist Alley after her workshop. She'll be displaying and selling her one-of-a-kind Etch-a-Sketch drawings, and she may even draw you!

How to Draw Superheroes

2 - 3pm | Kids Korner A | Grades 3 - 8

Mark Anderson of Andertoons will show you how to draw your favorite superheroes. Drawing materials will be provided.

Stop by Mark's table in Artist Alley before and after his workshop. He'll be showcasing his artistic works which have been included in Scholastic, National Geographic, Microsoft, and NASA!

Lightsaber Training

12 - 1pm and 2:30 - 3:30pm | Village Green | Grades K and up

Members of Chicago Jedi will teach you how to use a lightsaber like a Jedi Master. Lightsabers will be provided. Please meet for the class 10 minutes prior in the lobby.

We will be distributing 15 "walk in" tickets in the LOBBY on a first come, first serve basis 30 minutes before the start of the program. One ticket will be given per person, and all attendees must be present to receive a ticket.

Chicago Jedi will also be in Artist Alley to answer questions, take photos, and chat with fellow Star Wars fans.
