Our Target Market

EduTrip VR will begin by being rolled out in Metro Vancouver, but will have goals to expand to other major cities across Canada. Our focus is on formatting our units in a way that is transferable across provinces, while meeting the unique needs of each provincial curriculum. Our virtual reality experiences will be available for purchase by classroom teachers via our website, but will also be able to be purchased in larger bundles by school districts and parent advisory councils.

We aim to sell our VR Experiences to:

  • Classroom teachers directly with a cost per student comparable to that of a field trip.

  • Individual schools looking to purchase VR experiences for multiple classrooms.

  • School districts looking to buy a VR experiences for multiple schools at a reduced rate.

How is EduTrip VR appealing to our stakeholders (teachers, students, school districts and parents)?

Teachers

  • We make educators lives easier by providing them with an accessible way of bringing VR experiences into their classroom.

  • We are building our company around learning structures that are familiar to teachers (field trips with pre-trip and post-trip activities).

  • Our units align with regional curricula.

  • They can implement VR experiences without costly and time-consuming professional development.

Students

  • All students, regardless of the wealth of their school can access VR experiences!

  • VR experiences help students become more engaged in a topic and can help them access experiences that may be out of reach due to geography or financial constraints.

  • Provides hands-on learning experiences for concepts that are taught more theoretically and encourages critical thinking.

School Districts

  • School districts avoid the massive upfront cost of investing in VR technology and of the proffesional development needed for staff to implement it.

  • They can easily purchase a large number of classroom VR experiences for schools in order to target specific areas of the curriculum.

Parents

  • EduTrip VR would appeal to parents by providing them with information about the value of VR experiences in their children's education as well as a collection of activities that they can explore with their children at home based on the VR experience undertaken at school.

  • Parental Advisory Councils are often looking to fundraise for and provide unique and enriching supplemental educational opportunities within their schools.
