Katie is an elementary school teacher from Vancouver, Canada and has a passion for rolling out new technologies in her classroom learning environment. She wants to find unique solutions to some of the problems posed by the implementation of new technologies in schools. She hold a BA from Queen's University, a BEd from the University of British Columbia and is currently a student in the Masters of Educational Technology Program at the University of British Columbia.

She is passionate about finding ways of implementing technology that are:

• Cost effective for schools

• Simple to implement for all teachers

• Engaging for students

• Clearly link to the provincial curriculum
