A Novel Virtual Emergency Medicine Residents-as-Teachers (RAT) Curriculum
This project was created to prepare residents for their partnered experience with teaching medical students on shift. The late second-year or third- year medical students would be paired with a resident for each of their shifts in the emergency department. This curriculum utilized lecture, role-playing, and debrief to educate residents on teaching skills. The three sessions in this publication were The One-Minute Preceptor, Feedback, and Tips and Tricks for Teaching on Shift.

Emergency Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology: A Case-Based Curriculum for Residents
This project was created to teach emergency medicine residents to manage common obstetric and gynecologic pathologies that present to the emergency department. There were seven different sessions covering these topics and each session had review questions at the end. After the initial session, subsequent sessions also had review questions at the beginning. As this curriculum was case-based, it encouraged active learning from the residents. Each of the question sessions were run using Kahoot! (Oslo, Norway) online to create a more game-like atmosphere. Session titles included:
Ectopic pregnancy and emergencies in the first 20 weeks gestation
Emergencies after 20 weeks gestation
Delivery emergencies
Pelvic pain in the nonpregnant female
Vaginitis, cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease
Abnormal uterine bleeding
Labor and perimortem cesarean section
