This is a video update to show the progress of the boy's dormitory. Pastor John gives a tour and shows the perimeter wall around the dormitory that was added for the kids additional security.

The boy's dorm has now made it to the wall plate/roofing level. The focus will now be on roofing and shuttering.

This week the president of Uganda released churches and higher institutions of learning from lockdown. It was also announced that primary students will not start back until the first week of January 2022.

Pastor John and the school staff continue to call and stay in touch with their students to the best of their ability.

The boys dorm is making good progress and is now at the ring beam level.

Here are some pictures of the progress that has been made over the past week on the boy's dorm.

Pastor John and his family spend some days working as builders to help reduce the budget. Today the foundation has been completely finished! The next step is to build from foundation to window level. The process will then build from window level to ring beam level.

In mid-August, the president of Uganda released many areas, but schools and churches remained under the covid19 lockdown. The only schools that have opened are those that train nurses. Uganda is still under the challenge of lacking Covid19 vaccines and only a small portion is vaccinated, but cases have been going down day in and day out. The government has talked of immunizing all primary and secondary teachers, but this still appears to be a long way off because the process is so slow.

On the side of construction of the boys' dormitory, the site has been cleared. Building sand and some bricks have been delivered. Pastor John and others spent time praying over the foundation and laid the first brick this week.

Liberty has been praying for rain since May to help water the crops they use for the school. Today God blessed Liberty with the long awaited rainfall and it has been great for the garden.

The bed frames have been painted and the new mattresses have arrived. The students were sooooo excited about their new mattresses.

This past Sunday 7 members of the church were baptised in Lake Victoria. Pray for their spiritual growth and that they will be grounded in the true word of God.

We're now 10 days in the new school life with our school kids. They need a lot of prayers obviously after spending a full year at home, some staying in very poor areas.

The girls' dormitory is ready for use, we've added a multipurpose verandah to it to serve as; dining, worship place and a room for Sunday school.

The girl's dorm is officially finished after about 16 months of building. Thank you so much to everyone that supported this project along the way. It is such a blessing to the school and especially the girls that will now be sleeping and living in it.

In January the girl's dorm was painted and electricity was installed. The dorm should be ready for use by the end of February. Work is also continuing on the double bunk bed project.

Pastor John reflects on the difficult year of 2020 and provides some of the highlights of the year.

"Happy New Year to you all our good friends. 2020 has been a trying year. We saw all schools, churches, public places being closed due to covid19.

But amidst all challenges, we're thankful to our God who has used all our sponsors for the monthly support throughout 2020. We've had some TESTS and many TESTIMONIES

1. We completed the construction of the girl child dormitory and we installed electricity.

2. We got money for some beds and for some mattresses.

3. We painted all the classes inside and outside.

4. We visited all our school kids and gave out, sugar, rice, soap, tooth paste, skin jelly and class learning work to keep them academically busy.

5. For Christmas Joy, we went back to visit, the school kids, elderly and the poor, we gave out, sugar, rice, and beef.

6. In 2020, we lost two parents and one church member who's the eldest, 90yrs.

7. As a family, for both Easter and Christmas, we enjoyed Mchomo ( Swahili word for roasted meat), this was from our piggery farm.

8. During this covid19 pandemic, when private and public transport were banned, I enjoyed using a bicycle for transport.

9. 2020 gave us a grandson, Adonai, now we're grandparents of four kids, one boy and three girls.

10. God has used our banana plantation to provide us with food.

We're thankful to God for the passed year and we're full of hope and welcome this new year. We love you all our good friends and may God bless you Shalom.
