Educating With Hope

In January 2013, Tyler Vessels traveled to Uganda for a mission trip and met Pastor John Walusimbi, his wife Grace, and their children. It was immediately evident to Tyler that the love of Jesus poured out of this family. Tyler and his team worked for a month with Pastor John's church and his school, Liberty Preparatory. Tyler returned to the United States, but part of his heart remained in Uganda with the Walusimbi family and their ministry. Tyler and Pastor John continued to communicate frequently over the next five years.

In June 2018, Tyler Vessels, his sister Kaela Vessels, and longtime friend Carl Stoltzfus traveled to Uganda to see what more could be done to help Pastor John's ministry. After returning from the trip the process began that would create Educating With Hope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of Educating With Hope is to provide financial support to Christian organizations both domestically and internationally that provide the hope of a future to needy children through the Gospel and a quality education.
