Liberty Preparatory school was started in January of 1997 by Pastor John Walusimbi. The school serves Nursery/Kindergarten (4-5 year olds) thru Primary/Elementary ( 6-12 year olds). Liberty Preparatory serves many needy students who cannot afford to go to school. When students complete grade 7, they sit for completion of the National Examinations test over Math, English, Social Studies and Science.

1. To help students have hope for the future and to have a meaningful life through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. To offer quality education to needy students, HIV/AIDS orphans, and those who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to receive an education.
3. To give simple job skills in:
- Animal keeping (cows, pigs, poultry, rabbits, and goats)
- Agriculture (vegetables, bananas, maize, and beans)
- Games and sports
4. To give job opportunities to the community (teachers, unskilled laborers like cooks, school guards, matrons, and other workers.)
5. To support the government programs towards children's rights.
6. To create awareness of learners to a global village.
7. To sensitize both the learners and community of environment and conservation.
