Any student preparing for a career in education enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning, who isn’t already eligible to be an Education Minnesota/NEA member as a teacher or education support professional can join.
You will need a credit/debit card (MasterCard, VISA, or Discover) with the security code, plus a printer.
Aspiring educator dues are $25 per year plus any chapter dues. The membership year runs from September 1st through August 31st each year. Membership status becomes effective when your online application is complete and you are given a member ID. Print the confirmation page for verification that you are a member of Education Minnesota. Dues are non-refundable.
Be sure you are choosing the correct year (Sept. 1-Aug. 31) as there are no refunds given.
You do NOT need a member ID number, username or password to apply online.
Please save and keep a copy of your confirmation email.
