August 11th, 2025:
Sophia Williams stepped down from the board and the position of member at large.
Isaac Kuck was voted onto the board and the position of member at large.
During this month's meeting, we nominated and voted for the Vice President, the Community Outreach chair, and the Legislative Action Committee chair.

December 19th, 2024:
Our December meeting began by discussing continued plans for the upcoming Spring Conference. This included discussing plans for food and scheduling for the conference.
Approved $1,000 each in funds to be allocated for the Community Outreach Committee and PAC Committee
November 14th, 2024:
We started this month's meeting by nominating and voting for the Vice President position and the new Community Outreach chair.

We continued discussing our exciting plans for the upcoming Spring Conference! A main topic of discussion was planning out the giveaway prizes for the conference.
Just a reminder, the conference is March 28th-29th, 2025!
We concluded our meeting by discussing some of the details surrounding the AEC Conference in Portland this next summer.
October 18th, 2024:
Our meeting this month was in person, directly after the MEA Conference!
We reflected on the MEA Conference by discussing what went well and what could use improvement. This helps us to advocate for what we want changed for the future.
A majority of our meeting this month was to continue our planning for the Spring Conference. Here are some, but not all, of the items we discussed:
We could potentially have a new location.
We discussed and planned all of the sessions we would like for the conference. It's time to get excited as there are lots of amazing plans and opportunities!
We discussed prizes and giveaways.
The schedule for the entire conference was determined and decided. This includes our food, activities, breakout sessions, panels, and the overall itinerary.
Our Social Media Liaison gave us a social media update and encouraged the board to get all chapter to fill out this form!
The rest of our meeting was spent receiving reports from our committees.
September 19th, 2024:
We voted and appointed Lauren Hansen to be the Community Outreach Committee Chair.
We discussed our plans for the upcoming MEA conference next month. We talked about our breakout sessions, our booth prizes, and more!
A discussion was made about the upcoming CREATE Grant.

August 15th, 2024:
We discussed the budget that we have received for the year. We also discussed plans for our budget and what to spend where.
We discussed our upcoming booth at the Minnesota State Fair!
We started to talk about who we could represent for the House of Representatives and Senate. We took recommendations from the PAC Committee.
In other news, we voted on our Political Action Committee (PAC) Chair. The position was appointed to our State Board Member, Devyn Triebenbach.
July 16th, 2024:
We discussed the Spring Conference and ultimately decided on dates. It will be held March 28th-28th, 2025. More information to come on this soon!
Our AE booth at the Minnesota State Fair:
On August 31st, 2024, we will have around 6 of our board members attending the state fair. We will have a booth to discuss what our Aspiring Educator program is.
We discussed potential dates for our in person and virtual lobby day.
We discussed dates for the Representative Convention (RC) and the Aspiring Educator Conference (AEC).
The RC will be held April 25th-26th, 2025. Sign-ups for this will be open from January 6th-24th 2025.
The AEC date is yet to be decided.
We also discussed our EXCITING plans for MEA, ideas to get more involved, and decided on meeting times for our committees!
June 18th, 2024:
We discussed open board positions for the 2024-2025 term and voted on them during our meeting.
Reise Hayes was appointed Vice President.
Paige Lee was appointed Secretary/Historian.
Isaac Kuck was appointed Social Media Liaison.
Devyn Triebenbach was voted to become a representative for the EdMN Political Action Committee (PAC).
Mellisa Larson was voted to become a representative for the EdMN Professional Advocacy Committee (ProAC).
Paige Lee was voted to become a representative for the EdMN Teacher of the Year Committee (TOY).
Trinitey Bryant was voted to become a representative for the EdMN Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee (EMAC).
We also discussed our tentative schedule and ideas for the upcoming year! We discussed our AE booth at the Minnesota State Fair, our Spring Conference, Lobby Day, MEA, and national conferences! More information to come soon!
