The InnerLight project began as one of my first independent ventures during the pandemic, a time when we were all searching for meaning amid uncertainty. My vision was simple yet ambitious: to create a brand that merges fashion with scientific knowledge, inspiring curiosity about the universe around us.
Starting from scratch, I designed the website, crafted the brand identity, and developed stories for each t-shirt design, all of which pay tribute to stars, planets, or constellations. My aim was to help customers feel as if they’re wearing a piece of the cosmos, with the added option to personalise their own designs. Each design was limited-edition, available only briefly, allowing the project to stay fresh and dynamic.
As InnerLight gained momentum, I collaborated with Saal Digital Germany, who kindly provided me with a voucher for a Professional Line Photobook. Their intuitive software made it simple to capture InnerLight’s journey in high-quality print, using an acrylic heavy-duty cover that enhanced the photobook’s professional feel.
Sustainable fashion start-up
GreenThreads were doing great with their range of planet-friendly clothes, but they realised their customers often didn’t know what made each fibre special (or sustainable). Let’s be honest, most of us can barely tell hemp from linen at first glance! They needed a way to educate their customers without boring them to tears and to make sure people felt good about the choices they were making.
The Challenge:
They wanted a snazzy, down-to-earth brochure that would:
Teach customers about where these fibres come from, why they’re awesome, and how they stack up against each other.
Build trust by showing they actually know what they’re talking about (spoiler alert: they do!).
Give people the confidence to pick the right product—and maybe even brag about it to their mates.
My Role:
GreenThreads turned to me for my combined skills in graphic design and content writing. I took full responsibility for the project:
Design: a neat, eye-catching layout that was easy to navigate and matched GreenThreads’ earthy, playful brand.
Content: I wrote clear, engaging, and informative copy that explained each fibre’s background, properties, pros and cons, ways of production, and relevant certifications, all while making the information accessible and engaging.
The Outcome:
The result was a six-page quick-guide brochure titled “Nature Spun: Your Quick Guide to Natural Fibres.” It blended design and content seamlessly, capturing GreenThreads’ values and helping customers feel more confident in their buying decisions.
They rolled it out online, in-store, and at pop-up events. The feedback? “We love it!” and a noticeable uptick in customer engagement and sales. It was genuinely rewarding to see something I’d crafted helping a brand (and their customers) connect with sustainability in a real, human way.
Connecting The Line
Creating the brochure to showcase a steel manufacturer’s solutions for NEOM’s The Line project was both meticulous and rewarding. Working with Carl Carver, a talented 3D graphic artist, was a highly collaborative process. I first outlined the visual concepts and specific details I wanted to capture in each render. Carl then developed initial drafts, and together, we refined them through several rounds of feedback.
He brought these concepts to life with a series of stunning renders, each delivered with impressive turnaround times and without ever compromising on quality. This efficiency allowed me to seamlessly shape the other design elements around his visuals.
From there, I crafted the brochure text, ensuring that every section highlighted the key benefits of our steel connection solutions for NEOM. The goal was to communicate our value clearly while making the content visually compelling. Once the layout and content were finalised, the last step was professional printing. Seeing the finished product in hand was incredibly rewarding, and with distribution underway, I look forward to the impact it will have!
