This module provides teacher candidates with a consideration of their classroom as a learning environment that integrates technology to engage, enhance, and extend learning- while building upon the previous weeks investigation of Technology Frameworks. Teacher candidates are addressing their thinking about what a classroom is and can be through the use of digital tools, exploring multiple instructional models for learning in their classroom in relation to Educational Technology including Behaviorism, Constructivism, and Cognitivism. Teacher candidates ultimately express their understanding of each model with a digital representation that draws on ISTE standards, technology, and previous learning frameworks and - together in their peer groups -they collaborate to critically think while they communicate what they create.
The philosophical questions "What is Good Teaching, What is Good Learning and What is Worth Knowing" are addressed with this module for your Philosophy and through Minor Project 1.

Upon successful completion of this module learners will be able to:
Explore and Explain different learning models (constructivism, objectivism, and cognitivism) through a digital creation.
Communicate and Collaborate with peers, exploring affordances of digital technology to do the same.
Identify either TPACK and SAMR as a useful framework for purposeful integration of technology.
Develop their Philosophy of Educational Technology specifically what is good teaching, learning and worth knowing.
The reading for this week comes from two seminal texts on Technology Integration. The intent here is to engage you in thinking about technology use for meaningful learning. In order to get us thinking about learning we will be reading about memory, metacognition, and how we can use technology to make our (and our students) thinking visible- as you read consider what your definition of Meaningful Learning is, and if the reading helps evolve or solidify what it is you believe Meaningful Learning to be. (Take your time and read each carefully for class).

This week before Tuesday, you will each select and begin to think about constructing an Infographic about one of the Theories of Learning below, and then we will collect these individual infographics on a Prezi that will display your work in a connected fashion. See what you can accomplish prior to class, and then finish the rest of it in class on Tuesday in the second half of class.
