This module provides students a look at three frameworks for considering the use educational technology in the classroom - TPACK, SAMR and the Triple E - allowing them to find a model that is comfortable and works for their own philosophy of education as they see their classroom. Students develop their creative expressive skills as they generate infographics, and work on their communication and collaboration skills as they do this with others in a group. Additionally, the ISTE standards are introduced and explored for alignment with both frameworks.
Students begin their philosophy of educational technology in this module, which addresses the questions "What is Good Teaching and Learning?"

Upon successful completion of this module learners will be able to:
Identify strengths and challenges in existing Ed Tech Frameworks for teachers (SAMR, TPACK, Triple E)
Align the ISTE Standards for Teachers and Students with professional goals based on TPACK, SAMR, and Triple E
Begin communicating and collaborating with their group to produce joint products
Define Educational Technology and course mindset for learning with technology
Learning First Technology Second - Introduction and Chapter 1
A base for thinking about the integration of digital tools with a focus on Content and Pedagogy and Technology as overlapping conceptual understandings and knowledge.
A continuum view of using digital technology in the classroom with a focus on what technology does with the lesson.
