25.3 Transcription Results in Protein Synthesis
In this lesson, you will learn that mRNA provides the copy of a gene or genes to be expressed into protein by the ribosomes. The mRNA code is read in triplets called "codons" and matched with the "amino-acid delivery man" known as tRNA.
Pay special attention to the following terms
rRNA = ribosomes
mRNA = copy of DNA to be expressed into protein
tRNA = amino acid delivery mechanism
codons of mRNA (see table pg 507 of text or pg 113 of Digital Book)
anticodons of tRNA
