# Privacy Policy

Thank you for using LyricsHub. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the LyricsHub mobile application ("LyricsHub" or the "App").
## 1. Information We Collect and Process
### a. Personal Information
LyricsHub does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features.
If you make an in-app purchase or subscription, payment and transaction information is processed by the applicable app store and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat. LyricsHub does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.
If you voluntarily contact us for support or feedback, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
### b. App and Usage Information
LyricsHub may process limited technical or usage information needed to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App. Depending on the services enabled in a particular version of the App, this may include information such as:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- App functionality and feature usage
- Subscription and entitlement status
- Crash, error, and diagnostic information
We do not use analytics to collect lyric text or song title and artist information obtained through the What's Playing feature.
### c. Lyrics Searches and Lyrics Beta
When you search for songs, lyrics, or remembered lyric fragments, information necessary to perform the search may be sent to the services used by LyricsHub to locate matching songs and lyrics.
For example, Lyrics Beta allows you to search using a remembered portion of a lyric. The search text you enter may be sent to our lyrics-search service in order to identify possible matching songs.
LyricsHub may also communicate with third-party lyrics or metadata providers to retrieve song and lyric information.
### d. What's Playing and Notification Access
The Android version of LyricsHub includes an optional **What's Playing** feature that can identify music currently playing in another app on your device.
To use this feature, you must explicitly enable **Notification Access** for LyricsHub in your Android device settings.
When you use What's Playing, LyricsHub may read media information associated with active playback, such as:
- Song title
- Artist
- Album information, when available
LyricsHub uses this information to identify the currently playing song and retrieve lyrics.
LyricsHub does **not** use Notification Access to collect or store the general contents of your notifications. LyricsHub does not upload arbitrary notification content, use your microphone for music recognition, or control playback in other apps.
Song titles, artist information, and other current-media metadata obtained through What's Playing are not sent to analytics services.
Notification Access is optional. You may disable it at any time through your Android device settings. Other LyricsHub features can continue to be used without enabling What's Playing.
### e. Information Stored on Your Device
LyricsHub stores certain information locally on your device to provide App functionality. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Favorites
- Recent lyric history
- Cached or offline lyrics
- App preferences and settings
- Practice preferences and usage information
- Onboarding state
This information is used to provide App features and maintain your preferences.
Deleting the App may remove locally stored App data, subject to your device and operating system behavior.
## 2. Third-Party Services
LyricsHub relies on third-party services to provide certain functionality. These may include:
- **RevenueCat** for subscription and entitlement management
- **Apple App Store and Google Play Store** for purchases and payment processing
- **Lyrics and song-metadata providers** for song identification, search results, and lyric retrieval
- **Backend service providers** used to process features such as Lyrics Beta
- **Analytics or diagnostic services**, when configured, to help us understand App performance and feature usage
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
LyricsHub does not sell your personal information.
## 3. How We Use Information
Information processed through LyricsHub is used to:
- Operate and maintain the App
- Provide song search and lyric retrieval
- Provide Lyrics Beta searches
- Identify currently playing media when you choose to use What's Playing
- Maintain Favorites, Recent lyrics, Practice preferences, and other App functionality
- Process and verify purchases and subscriptions
- Diagnose technical problems and improve reliability
- Understand general feature usage when analytics is enabled
- Respond to support or feedback requests
- Protect the App and its services from misuse
## 4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be provided to service providers when necessary to operate App functionality, such as processing subscriptions or fulfilling song and lyric searches.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law or legal process
- Protect our rights, users, or property
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
Third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.
## 5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through the App.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## 6. Children's Privacy
LyricsHub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
## 7. Your Choices
Depending on the features and platform you use:
- You may choose not to enable Notification Access. What's Playing is optional.
- If Notification Access has been enabled, you may disable it through your Android device settings.
- You may control applicable device permissions through your device settings.
- You may delete Favorites, Recent items, offline content, or other locally managed information where the App provides those controls.
- You may uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data, subject to your device and operating system behavior.
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- You may use available platform controls relating to analytics or diagnostics where applicable.
## 8. Data Retention
Information stored locally by LyricsHub generally remains on your device until it is removed through App functionality, replaced as part of normal App operation, or removed when the App's local data is deleted.
Information processed by third-party providers may be retained according to those providers' respective privacy policies and legal obligations.
Support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support records, and comply with legal obligations.
## 9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to LyricsHub, our service providers, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above and make the revised policy available through the App, our website, or the applicable app-store listing.
