Solar Eclipse 2024
Students could safely view the 2024 solar eclipse with the glasses face shield they created and personalized. Within this special activity, students learned the dangers of not having proper eye protection when viewing an eclipse and the importance of the event to come. It was a very special day for all to partake in.
Reading Camp Day 2023
To celebrate the end of the quarter and all the student's hard work, our classroom became our own campsite, and we spent the day doing some camp activities, both inside and outside. We shared some of our favorite books and stories about camping. Students brought flashlights for flashlight reading, camp chairs, sleeping bags, and small blankets/sheets to make their own special reading places. We had camping-related treats to go along with our activities.
Partner Math
Morning partner math is done daily to enhance the comprehension of the math units. Partners are different every day, which encourages classroom community. Partners work together to complete the daily math activity. I move about the room to check for understanding and progress.
