Regardless of Jarred Kessler's claims the CFPB , NCLC have repeatedly stated this is a disguised LOAN and so has the Supreme Court “As quoted in the above article, EasyKnock markets itself as a non-lender specifically to bypass consumer lending laws, stating: ‘We are not a lender. That means you won’t face credit score or debt-to-income (DTI) requirements.’ This tactic appears to be a deliberate attempt to avoid legal compliance, while the transaction mimics the structure of a traditional mortgage or equity loan.” Easyknock is not licensed as a real estate broker in Texas or IL .
