  • Two-Hole Straps
  • Cove Moulding
  • Funnel
  • Corrugated Plastic pipe
  • Other Materials

Overview

Makers will learn how to:

  • work in collaborative groups to contribute to concept understanding
  • Apply the iterative process through testing and failure
  • Test and apply concepts in physics: force, motion, inertia, etc

Safety Considerations

Splinters - Wood may crack or fray. Please inform staff or facilitator if splintered objects found.

Build a Marble Machine based on the challenges below:

  • Top to bottom as S L O W L Y as possible.
  • Make the Marble change direction as many times as possible
  • Make the marble go up-hill
  • Create a pully system for the marble

Building Tips

Place Pegs through Both sides of pegboard

Use Two-Hole Straps to hold object

Use Clothes-Pins to support Marble machine

Use Tape to connect or hold building objects
