Eastern Africa Algebra Research Group Scholarships 2021

The Eastern Africa Algebra Research Group (EAALG) is pleased to announce scholarships in Mathematics for the already admitted/registered masters students in the following universities

1. Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia

2. University of Eduardo Mondlane, Mozambique

3. University of Khartoum, Sudan

4. Makerere University, Uganda

5. University of Nairobi, Kenya

6. University of Rwanda, Rwanda

7. University of Zambia, Zambia

The applicant must be interested in Algebra or a related area and will write a Masters project in the same area.

Scope of the scholarship

• Covers only tuition fees in the university where the applicant is registered.

• There are only seven slots, one for each of the universities listed above.

• Awarded on a semester basis and subsequent funding is contingent on performance in the previous semester and a progress report by the country coordinator and/or a project supervisor.

• An application letter and a CV (maximum 4 pages) both written in English language

• A copy of the university admission letter to a masters program in Mathematics

• A transcript and a certificate for the relevant undergraduate degree

• A reference letter from an academic
